About the program:
The Peer Mentoring Program is for and by female students in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University. The program aids female undergraduate students and first year female graduate students by assigning them a volunteer female "mentor" who is a currently enrolled student in the department. This mentor is an unofficial source of information about the college, department, and university; she will be responsible for being generally available to answer questions and to help with any concerns that her "mentee" might have at Texas A&M University.
Participation:
All female undergraduate and graduate students are invited to participate in the program: the undergraduate students and the new graduate students as "mentees" and the current ones as "mentors". Pairings are made based on shared interests.
